3D Medieval Castle Cutting File from ” Storm the Castle”
Will from www.stormthecastle.com/ very generously allowed me to take his design and convert to cutting file for digital cutters and post. I have the files here in SVG and MTC formats. I may also do in GSD if enough demand but to be honest it is very labour intensive to convert anything to GSD, especially when having to manually edit cut lines and fold lines.
I will be adding more of his designs in the coming weeks 
Will has a very cool site that I actual used pre- craft cutter days when I was homeschooling and did workshops with kids on catapults. He has some AMAZING things to build. One of the things I like best about his site is I found it difficult to find crafts that boys enjoy and he has tons of stuff for them .

As many of you may no from emails a few weeks ago my 9 year old son had to do project for school- make a medieval castle. It had to have a drawbridge ( working) portcullis and moat. My son, William put together the castle and added these details- the portcullis was done with toothpick painted black and the drawbridge was with some embroidery thread and bamboo skewer and tape. There there was significant amount of tape used in this project
The finished castle takes up about 12 inches by 12 inches and smaller than you think.
We wrapped the cut out tower pieces around paper towel rolls cut in half and put blue paper behind the windows.
He also painted rooftops and glued on some moss. His sister pained on some ivy. I tried not to get involved . Kids banned me as I tend to go overboard and the thing would have had miniature pulleys worthy of a swiss watch had I started in it….
I think it turned out rather well and he got a 4 minus on the project ( for some reason there is no A, B, C, D any more.. so this was an A- for those of us who are old) He was quite pleased that he pulled it off!
This was easy to cut out and not that hard to glue if you follow it logically. I used Arlene’s tacky gkue an dwould recommended the same. You cudl cut out cereal box but honestly I used a heavy-ish grey Bazzill card stock and was MORE than fine. Would have been fun to colour the paper first and make some cool stonework designs on it.
The flags would have been fun to use real fabric/felt or paint tissue paper or solid acrylic sheets.

as base outside and it looks so fresh and crisp . The inner part is 
in Luscious Lime which has a really nice linen finish and cuts beautifully. By far my all time favourite paper.
