Free Heart Treat Bag/ Box for Valentines Day cutting file
This week I struggled created a very sweet little treat box/bag to share for Valentines Day. I meant to grab some cinnamon hearts to fill before a photographed so my little boxes look a little empty!. Oh well- I would just end up eating them anyway 
Some days I make a cutting file and it cuts perfectly first time… then there are days like today ….. not too much went right and my OCD was careening out of control trying to make everything perfect! Make the Cut software kept crashing when I opened the file I created on my main computer. You can just use the SVG file with no problem. I did submit a support ticket and hope to hear back from Make the Cut soon. The issue seemed to be with the dash lines- when i changed line to dash file would crash program. I would be curious to know if any of you had issue with this file as well.
I can tell you that since I have been using Make the Cut to actually cut with my cutting machine machine my frustrations have really diminished. Generally I get perfect cuts on my scrapbook paper 90% of the time. I used to have battles with my KNK Studio software so I was pretty concerned when this problem popped up. I am sure its something that is an easy fix and will keep you posted. I have been using my KNK Groove-E for about 4 months now and LOVE it. At first I couldnt see the use of flatbeds but now couldn’t live without.

I used Lettering Delights Love is Sweet Paper Pack to print the paper you see used in the pic of treat bags. All you have to do it print the pattern with any photo imaging software or using Make the Cut! software. I did up a short video in how to print papers using Make the Cut, Printing Your Own Scrapbook Paper- Use Make the Cut to Print your Own Scrapbooking Paper. I love using these papers- they print nicely and the colours co-ordnate perfectly. I also like not having to go to scrapbook store and buy paper

NOTE: OMG- I do not run a daycare although sound like I have zillion kids! Its just 8 year old son and his friend in background- next time will do when no one around- apologize for the background noise!!!

I showed this to my daughter and she likes the idea of making these for her class mates. I hope I have enough paper to make enough of them. What size of paper did you use (12 X 12?)

@Joanne I make these files up for 81/2 x 11 paper tho people are easily able to enlarge for 12×12 papers. You could easily do this with cheap card stock- pick up some of their cheap packages patterned paper at Micheal’s or what I did was use the Lettering Delights paper and print on photo paper I picked up from dollar store- 15 sheets for 1.00- gives it a nice polished look.
I did this design up so it would be easy and fast to make a bunch – hope it works out- would love to see what she comes up with!

January 27th, 2012 at 8:47 pmThanks Lisa for the file. Your ATG gun looks like mine, I don’t like mine either. The tape slipped off the roller had a heck of a time re-threading it. I worry every time I use it. Half the time I wind up with balls of glue on my project. So far my opinion of that glue gun is not to high. I also love the papers from LD, that is a great site for images, and they run great sales all the time.

January 28th, 2012 at 10:45 amCute bags – they look like they’re quick to make. On the ATC gun – I hated mine. I had the same problems – it would gum up, etc. After a year of frustrating use, (including installing a new tape, thinking maybe I just had a bad tape), Archiver’s let me trade it in for another brand. Love the new one.

I used some plastic that was a type of packaging and it works great! (used the ATG to glue that film down) Now we have to go and get little goodies to fill them. Thank you so much for the file.
