Free Cutting Files Gallery
One of my favorite things to do is create cutting files. I initially began designing them in Inkscape and now I use Make the Cut and KNK Studio. Make the Cut works with most cutting machines on the market EXCEPT for and of the Cricuts. At first I just offered free GSD files then expanded to KNK and SVG. Some of the files are also in WPC format.
I now offer all my new designs in MTC, SVG, GSD and KNK formats. For more info on file formats please read my post,Types of Cutting Files: Digital Cutting Files Explained.
The most commonly used file format now to use with digital cutters is SVG. I think that eventually this will be the Industry standard. Currently SVG files are used with most digital cutting software either natively or by importing. Make the Cut is probably the most all encpmpassing- you can use SVG,AI/EPS, PDF,, SCUT and most recently suports WOC and GSD. This is a gufe leap for people using GSD files- you can now easlity convert your GSD files to SVG, etc . PLease read my post, CONVERT for more details.
GSD files are used with any of the Graphtec cutting machine likeSilouette Cameo
KNK files are to be used with Klic N Kut machines or software. ( You an buy a KNK Studio GE version to use with other cutters like Silhouette Cameo
SVG files are compatible with most software and machines including Make the Cut (MTC), Silouette Studio, Adobe Illustrator.
